The Integration of Military Medical Services in NATO and EU organisations
Operations involving international collaboration are not strictly part of the core assignment of a country’s armed forces, are not included in the standard cooperation arrangements made for home defence and are thus largely outside the areas covered by existing operational specifications and organisational structures. This ‘flexibility’ in deployment options means
that a completely new evaluation of the concept of multinational cooperation and new approaches are necessary, also with regard to the means of collaboration with multinational organisations. This article considers the current status of integration in international structures and the level of collaboration with international organisations.
