The benefits of using flight simulators to train army helicopter pilots are undermined by the potential onset of health-related symptoms in the form of simulator sickness, a syndrome that is associated solely with virtual flights rather than their real-world counterparts. The most prevalent cardinal signs of simulator sickness are spatial disorientation, nausea, dizziness, headache, and cold sweating, all of which often occur without warning.
