Sepsis - the underestimated killer
18 million people die every year worldwide from severe sepsis - that is more than those dying of breast, colon/rectal, pancreatic, and prostate cancer combined. Therefore this condition continues to be one of the biggest, though most underrepresented, worries of modern medicine.
