Procurement of medicinal products

The German Armed Forces within the framework of prevention of biological and radiological risk situations

The current study deals with the issues of procurement of medicinal products by the German Armed Forces within the framework of prevention of biological and radiological risk situations. Diseases and poisoning caused both biologically and radiologically might have considerable effect on the combat readiness of the armed forces so that the availability of prophylactically and therapeutically active medicinal products and medical devices to the German Armed Forces should be guaranteed. The main body responsible for the central procurement of key supply items is the Federal Of ce of Defence Technology and Procurement (U3.2/U2.3).
