Operation Bahral to Pakistan
A real medico-surgical state of emergency
The army medical service carried out a humanitarian mission to Pakistan from 10 October to 11 November 2005. An emergency medical and surgical operation combining 46 medical and paramedical staff from the fire brigade and the emergency medical services with a military detachment of 38 persons was put in place from the 10th of October. An emergency station of the 601st RCR (transport support regiment) from Arras and the 7th ACP (advance command post) constituted the core of the military operation. A detachment of the land logistical force ensured ordinary life support.
