On the 12th of January 2010 at about 16:53 hours, an earthquake showing 7.2 on the Richter scale hit the island of HAITI, the epicenter was located just west of the capital Port-au-Prince. The impact was devastating. International assistance was essential and immediately organized. Spezialists in humanitarian relief missions from Switzerland were amongst the first to respond.
