Bridging Borders Through Military Medicine
The Armed Forces of the Philippines (AFP) and the U.S. Army, Pacific (USARPAC) co-hosted the 17th Asia-Pacific Military Medicine Conference in
Manila, Republic of the Philippines. “Bridging
Borders Through Military Medicine” was the theme of the April 2007 conference attended by 320 healthcare professionals from 21 Asia-Pacific countries.
The conference is part of a continuing series of
exchanges that promote cooperation for military
medical professionals in the Asia-Pacific region.
“It supports professional development of military
medical forces of all participating countries,”
said U.S. Army Lt. Col. James Bolton. “We focus
on relevant military medical issues in health
services, clinical research, education, and prevention.
